(Charlie Miller 2, Ollie Butler , Frankie Hercules)

Over the last few weeks we have assembled a richly talented, young, vibrant, energetic group of players who have slowly but surely turned our fortunes around and pulled us clear of the relegation zone. Tonight confirmed what we all knew that we now have the quality required to survive and prosper in this division.
Whilst the first half was relatively even, with the opposition catching us cold with an early goal which we had to work hard to recover from, we dominated in the second, playing incisive, controlled, progressive football, epitomised by young full back Elija Hearn who needs no second invitation to push forward and turn defence into attack. We got what we deserved, although it wasnt until the last ten minutes that the dam, which was Aylesburys defence, broke and we scored three late goals to give our dominance the reward it deserved.
The squad has seen a massive turnaround since early season, with only two of our original group lining up yesterday, George Carbery and Ollie Butler. This does make very apparent the quality that is needed to achieve our ambitions several of our players are dual registered and the fact that they are on the books of step 4 and step 3 clubs indicates the level of challenge required to develop our own squad to challenge for honours next season.
But lets not ponder next seasons challenges for too long rather lets bathe in a performance that was as good as any that we have witnessed over the past three years or more.

Jake Alley, Elijah Hearn, George Carbery, Harry Seabrook, Adam Sawyer, Charlie Miller, Leo Faruch, Godlove Oppong, Len Armstrong, Ollie Butler, Ronan Hutchins.
Playing subs: Tommy Twelves, Frankie Hercules, Will Bisney
