MATCH REPORT V HAREFIELD UNITED 15th JANUARY 2022

TRING ATHLETIC 0 HAREFIELD 1

A lack of creativity and cutting edge in the final third cost us dear today. We looked solid at the back, with Harry Seabrook and Harrison Cornick outstanding in nullifying the renowned striking prowess of the opposition but we rarely threatened in attack.

It was good to see Cornick and Adam Sawyer back to stiffen up the defence and high hopes are placed on the young shoulders of Ronan Hutchins, on his first match back, returning to the club.

SANTA ARRIVES LATE WITH PRESENTS FOR LEVVIE

As previously mentioned in this seasons match reports, going down to ten men almost always ends in defeat. And so it proved yesterday as we gifted Leverstock Green the three points. It was going so well- 2-0 up after an hour and containing Levvie with some comfort such that we simply needed to manage the game through the final third to an invaluable victory.

Violent play, off the ball, is so unnecessary, will always be seen by eagl...more

GLADWICH CHALLENGE TROPHY ROUND 1

BOVINGDON F C 0 V TRING ATHLETIC 2 (Stevens, Carberry)

NEW, YOUNG GUNS FIRE US INTO THE NEXT ROUND

Much needed and long-awaited new talent enriched this performance as we beat Division Two high fliers Bovingdon to progress into the hat for the next round of the Challenge Cup.

Debutants Elijah Hearn at full back and forwards Leo Farruch and Godlove Oppong brought a progressive, go-forward approach to our play which has been lacking for much of the season. Admittedly it wa...more

FA VASE 3rd ROUND PROPER
TRING ATHLETIC (0) 0SAFFRON WALDRON TOWN (1) 1
OUR GREAT RUN IN THE VASE COMES TO AN END

There was a lot of expectation and excitement at the Grass Roots Stadium at the prospect of entertaining Saffron Waldron Town in the 3rd Round Proper of the FA Vase. After all our best results have come in this prestigious national competition, with 4 wins on the trot, all away, including a thumping 4-0 victory at Cockfosters who play in the same league as our guests from Essex.

Perhaps the expectation was...more

MATCH REPORT 4TH DECEMBER 2021

DUNSTABLE TOWN 3 V TRING ATHLETIC 0

FROZEN OUT!

On a raw, bitterly cold day at Creasey Park, our performance failed to warm the cockles. Given that we lost 3-0 and our goalkeeper was our man of the match, it would appear to have been a torrid afternoon and it was.

David Saunders is a young, highly talented keeper, forgiven for an odd mistake as he matures into his craft. Today, he was magnificent, repelling wave upon wave of attacks. For those of us who like to see local talent developed, David is a former Tring sc...more

HUFFING AND PUFFING NOT ENOUGH

We went into this match full of optimism, after some decent results, eyeing the comfort of mid table. It didnt work out the way we hoped and we now find ourselves looking downwards with concern at the clubs at the bottom of the table.

Both sides had to contend with a howling wind which must have made it very difficult to put on a good footballing spectacle. Most of our supporters would have been reasonably content to go in at half time one nil down as...more

1st team Player of the Month

Sep 2018: Cameron Brooks (in association with Executive Committee)
Our first Player of the Month award this season goes to Cameron Brooks. Cameron's work down the left flank has been tireless. His value to the team is such that he has played every minute of every game so far. ether in defence or pushing forward his performances have been lively and full of endeavour. He is a very worthy winner of this award.

Well done Cam!
