The Non-League Paper reports that the very popular Jamie Wallace was "Man of the Match" in Tilbury's score draw with Concord Rangers in their Ryman Division OIne North fixture. Jamie regularly keeps in the touch with the Club and it is good to see that he is playing as well as ever.

We have been allocated 3 home games 2 away games during the month of April with us acting as hosts to Broxbourne Borough (10th), Hanwell Town (13th) and Brimsdown Rovers (24th) whilst we will travel to play Colney Heath (3rd) and Kingsbury London Tigers (17th)

100 Club Winners - February 2010 (posted Sat 6th Mar 2010)
The winners for the monthly draw for February were:- 6th February - Pete Stilwell £10; 13th February - John Brannan £10; 20th February - John Eadie £10; 27th February - Grant Mosley £80; and Neil Dunn £20. New members are very welcome with payment of £1 per week made via a quarterly standing order that can be down loaded from the website or paper copy from the Club bar. Winnings can be collected from the Bar.

Supper Quiz Evening (posted Fri 5th Mar 2010)
One of Richard Vincent's popular quiz nights, with Ploughmans supper, is to be held on Saturday 10th April commencing at 8pm. Tickets cost £6 per person with teams of 6 that can be made up on the night if needed.

TAFC 3-2 Tooting & Mitcham United First match in three weeks and everyone was excited to be playing again after the run of bad weather. The day was sunny yet cold, perfect weather conditions for the third round for Tring in the league cup against third place Tooting and Mitcham (T&M).

Sat 15th May 2010 - Spirit of Tring - Party in the Park
We are delighted to announce a musical extravaganza that will be held at the Grass Roots Stadium on 15th May. This is to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Grass Roots, which is a significant achievement - congratulations to David Evans and his team. Also, this will be an important fundraiser for the sports organisations, arts and schools in the area as David is funding the event, with all proceeds being distributed amongst these community organisations. This really is a tremendous gesture, and it's now up to us to support the event and maximise the benefit we realise as a result. For ticket details click on the link added to this site. This will be a great night for Tring, and it's community so please get your tickets early - on the night you will be treated too:-
- Soul music from much loved local band Soul Fish
- 'We Will Rock You' the Queen tribute musical will be performed backed by a big orchestra
- Last Night of the Proms - A shortened list of great pieces from the Great British Tradition.

Thu 26th Aug 2010 - Annual TAFC / Ged Keogh Golf Day
27 holes on the two championship courses at Mentmore Golf & Country Club with coffee, lunch and 3 course evening meal with presentations. Texas scramble 9 holes in the morning followed by the main competition. Players of all levels welcome. Cost to be advised nearer the date together with start time etc. |
