A disappointing result sees us exit the FA Cup early doors. We were caught with an exceptionally early goal and found ourselves two down shortly after as we tried to settle and get back in to the game. In all honesty, we were chasing the game thereafter.
Frankie reduced the deficit on the half hour when he rifled a shot in to the top corner after a great run. This did settle us and we played some nice football but couldn't score again before the break. HT 1-0
Our hosts were determined to protect their lead in the second half and put on a good defensive display. However, we had chances and the goalkeeper made a couple of excellent saves - without which the outcome could have been different.
We were caught late on the break to close the curtain on our FA Cup involvement this year. Disappointing for sure but some positives in the way we played at times, and no shortage of effort. Onwards.
