Our visitors started brightly and on 9 minutes hit the bar with the ball coming down onto the line before being cleared to safety. George Saunders in the Tring goal made a couple of good saves shortly afterwards but was unable to prevent Bovingdon taking the lead after 30 minutes as Tring looked for an offside flag. 0-1

Just before half time Bovingdon came close to doubling their lead hitting the post from a free kick.

Athletic drew level on 70 minutes when a Lorenzo Cross cross was deflected into his own net by a Bovingdon defender. 1-1

In the 82nd minutes George Hill went on a good run and crossed for Andy Humphreys who turned in the box and cooly slotted home 2-1.

The result puts the reserves up to 6th in the league and a trip to second placed Evergreen next Saturday.
