The game started poorly for Tring with Steve Ashby sent off after fully 10 seconds for a professional foul. It took us a while to regroup and unfortunatley during this time we conceeded a goal on 10mins. Tring finally pulled themselves together playing a 4-4-1 formation relying heavily on Ian Brumwell up front to hold the ball up. We rode our luck at times but also missed a few chances from set pieces, HT 0- 1
Tring started the 2nd half very well but unfortunatley lost captain Terry Phillips to injury on 50 mins meaning Ben Williams had to partner Aiden Bailey in the centre of defence. We showed great battling ability and team spirit in the 2nd half, their management and supporters alike said we played the better football and in truth we created and missed the better chances with the away goalkeeper making three 1 on 1 saves. Tring did equalise on 65mins through the impressive Jack Thomson but unluckily conceeded what proved to be the winner only 5mins later. We can be proud of our performance and team spirit but as has been apparent all season we require a goal scorer to finish all the chances our build up play create.
