Impressive start to the season with a well-earned victory over Chalfont Saints Gold.


Chalfont started strongly, dominating the early minutes with a more physical game (something we will need to get accustomed too).
We gradually played our way into the game and were rewarded by a goal (Josh) following an error from the Chalfont keeper in the 9th minute.
Tring took charge for the remainder of the half, with goals from Alex in the 17th minutes and 2 excellent shots from Tom A.


In the 2nd half, Chalfont adopted a long-ball game that had us under some pressure for the first 15 minutes.
It was very pleasing to observe the boys change their shape and adapt to this approach.
Very quickly we were back on top, and goals from Alex, 61st minute, and Harrison, 65th minute, put the game out of reach.
We continued to press, scoring 2 further goals in the 71st minute (Dylan M) and 75th minute (Alex completing his hat-trick).


As pleasing as the 6 goals, was the clean-sheet and the very solid platform offered by our defence and a very business central midfield.
