Our match on Saturday 18th February has been postponed following an amendment to Leigton Town's fixture on the same date. As landlords Leighton's Southern League game takes priority & our match is likely to be rearranged for a midweek date in March.

Premier Division Cup (posted Wed 1st Feb 2012)
We face Royston Town away in the semi-final of the Premier Division Cup following their 2-0 win over Hertford Town last night (Tuesday 31 Jan) with goals from Ryan Lockett and Ricky Young in front of a crowd of 91.

100 Club Winners - January 2012 (posted Sun 29th Jan 2012)
Increased prize money for the second month with weekly winners at £10 and one monthly prize of £100 and £20 for runner up. The winners for January were: 7th January : James Livingstone £10; 14th January : John Brannan £10; 21st January : Mick Eldridge £10; 28th January : Dick Lovelace £100 and Lorraine Humphreys £20. Winnings can be collected from the bar at The Grass Roots Stadium on match days.

Spirit of Tring 2012 - EARLY BIRD CHEAP TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED BEFORE 31st January (posted Fri 27th Jan 2012)
Following the success of 2010 and 2011, The Spirit of Tring is coming back for 2012. The event will takes place during the weekend of 2nd & 3rd June. Make sure you put the dates in your diary now and Saturday 2nd June sees 60 Years of British Rock & Pop and Sunday 3rd has the Great British Proms - see our events section for more details.

We were scheduled to play league leaders Royston Town at home on Tuesday 7th February but due to a County Cup competition this match has now been moved to TUESDAY 28TH FEBRUARY KICK OFF 7:45PM.

Sports Quiz & Race Night - Saturday 25th February 7:30 start (posted Tue 24th Jan 2012)
Ian Butler is organising a fun evening that will commence with a Sports Quiz followed by a Race Night. There will be prizes for the Quiz winners and we will be seeking to sell horses, have race sponsors etc and more details will follow re start times etc but put this date in your diary now.

Reserve Team Fixtures (posted Tue 24th Jan 2012)
The Reserves are at Home this coming Saturday 28th January to Hartney Wintney and then in February play the following matches:- 4th - Newport Pagnell Away; 11th - Harefield United Home; 18th - Barton Rovers Home; 25th - Berkhamsted Away all 3 pm kick offs.

TAFC Golf Society (posted Wed 18th Jan 2012)
With many golfers in the Club we are starting a TAFC Golf Society and invite members to join. It is the intention that the society aims to play 4 or 5 nice courses per year and there will be a joining fee of £20. This fee will go towards prizes and the cup at the end of the year which will be awarded for the highest number of points from the accumulation of four stableford rounds. More detail is available but the following dates have been booked; Tuesday 27th March - Ashridge; Friday 25th May - Berkhamsted; Tuesday 17th July - Beaconsfield and Thursday 11th October - Ellesborough. For the first time in a long time we had no match sponsor for Saturdays match against Harefield United. Match sponsorship costs £25 and in return there is free admission for two persons, match day hospitality in the Board room at half and full time and acknowledgement/publicity in the match day programme. The draw was made in the Club after Saturdays match with the new increased top prize of £100.
