FA Vase draw update (posted Mon 6th Sep 2010)
In the First Round we face a trip to either Oxhey Jets who beat St Margaretsbury 2-1, or Haringey Borough following the withdrawal of Tokyngton Manor from the competition. The game will be played on 4th October. Athletic received a bye through the first two rounds as a result of our 3rd placed League finish last season.

100 Club Winners - August 2010 (posted Mon 6th Sep 2010)
Weekly winners in August were - 7th Marion Griffths £10; 14th Diane Griffiths £10; 21st Brian Bruton £10 with the Monthly winners being Jamie Robbins £80 and Maureen Livingstone £20.

Youth Team September Fixtures (posted Sun 5th Sep 2010)
The Under 18 Youth Team have 3 away fixtures in the month of September travelling to Hughenden Valley U18's on Sunday 5th September 2pm ko, Chalfont Saints Athletic on Sunday 12th September again a 2pm ko, play their first home match at Miswell Lane on Sunday 19th September with a 10:30am kick off and then travel to Downley Dynamos on Sunday 26th September for a 10:30am start.

First Team October Fixtures (posted Fri 3rd Sep 2010)
We have received our fixture list for October (subject to changes) but we continue a long run of either home or away games! In September we see ourselves with just 1 home fixture and 7 away fixtures and this odd sequence continues as our fixtures show that we will have played 4 at home followed by 4 away with 1 at home and then 5 away followed by 4 at home - where has every other week gone! Cup matches will inpact on where we play so please track our fixtures by clicking on the "fixtures" tool bar.

Coach for FA Cup Match at Wealdstone (posted Wed 1st Sep 2010)
We have organised a Coach via Smith's of Tring to take the players and supporters to the F A Cup match at Wealdstone on Saturday 11th September. The coach will depart The Grass Roots Stadium at 12:30pm and return from Wealdstone at between 6:15pm and 6:30pm. there will be a small charge for supporters of £5 (concessions £3)to go towards the costs. For those wishing to travel by car the address is Grosvenor Vale, Ruislip. HA4 6JQ and the most direct route is A41 to pick up M25 leaving at Junction 16 to join the M40 signposted Uxbridge, London and at The Polish War Memorial Junction turn left and take the exit onto the A4180 signposted Ruislip. Pass Ruislip Gardens Underground station and after half a mile turn right into Grosvenor Vale.

100 Club Winners (posted Mon 16th Aug 2010)
We have caught up following the close season and made 100 Club draws for May, June and July and the winners were:- The weekly £10 winners in May were Gill Eldridge, Paul Vinnicombe, Lorraine Humphreys and Alan Foskett with Amanda Stacey winning £80 and Matthew Stacey £20. The June draw declared the £10 weekly winners to be Ralph Griffiths, Sam Allum and Sean Rutheford with Gill Eldridge winning £80 and Sophie Green £20. The lucky July £10 winners were Brett Janes, Paul Vinnicombe, Paul Brannan and Gill Eldridge and the monthly winners were Sharon Herbert at £80 and Trevor Langley at £20. Winnings can be collected from the Club bar and new members are welcomed. A standing order form can be downloaded from the website just click on the box on the front page.

Annual General Meeting (posted Thu 8th Jul 2010)
This will be held commencing at 8pm on Thursday 30th September and any Members who have any proposals with regard to a change to our rules or constitution must place their request in writing to the Hon Secretary, Bob Winter, 6 weeks prior to this date for such changes to be considered. All members and supporters are invited to attend and we are always looking for additional help. Dunstable Town 1-1 TAFC Dunstable took the lead just before half time and Athletic equalised in added time at the end of match through Ashley Addison after a pin point pass from Dave Foskett found Nick Jackson whose excellent cross was met at the near post by Ashley. (Full report to follow)
