March fixtures (posted Fri 5th Feb 2010)
The first team fixtures have just been released by the league and are now available on the fixture section of this website. Athletic face home games against Harefield, Welwyn Garden City, St Margaretsbury and Hertford. We will also be travelling to Dunstable, Haringey, Kentish Town and Biggleswade United.

Crows out to get Tring striker (posted Thu 4th Feb 2010)
Athletic forward Andy Humphreys has recently received some unwanted attention from the crows. It is not an approach from fellow SSML side Royston Town but attacks from the black flying variety!! Whilst on holiday Andy has had his head bitten in two separate incidents. "A team" manager Ian Bulter was heard to say that Humphreys hasn't won a header in 6 seasons so was hoping he would be beak playing soon and working his way back up the pecking order.

Promotion for Athletic? (posted Thu 21st Jan 2010)
The FA have now released the full list of applicants for promotion to Step 4 (ie the Ryman or Southern League) for next season. From the SSML as well as Tring Athletic are Aylesbury, Brimsdown, Broxbourne, Chalfont St Peter, Dunstable, Hanwell and Royston. The next criteria to meet is a suitable grading for your ground / staduim which must be attained by 31st March. Therefore you will soon see some changes around the Grass Roots Stadium in preparation for this. Anybody wishing to lend a hand please speak to a member of the committee or e-mail the club. Promotion to Step 4 is limited to the league winners or the second placed club if the winners are unable to be promoted.
