WATFORD at The Grass Roots Stadium on Saturday 11th July (posted Thu 2nd Jul 2009)
Athletic commence their pre-season matches with an excellent fixture against Watford F.C's Development Squad, made up young pro's, 2nd year scholars and senior pro's not in the 1st team squad, on Saturday 11th July kick off 3pm with the gates opening at 1:30pm. The admission charge is the same as last year at £5 per adult and concessions at £3 with children under 14 years admitted free if accompanied by an adult. This is a great opportunity to see the future stars of Watford and also a number of their current professionals. Athletic will be wearing one of their new kits, away kit, as our new red/black/black clashes Watford's new changed strip of all black.

F A CUP & F A VASE (posted Wed 1st Jul 2009)
The draws have been made for the above cups providing opposition that we have not faced before and some potentially exciting matches. In the F A Cup we are drawn away to Barking, who play in the Essex Senior League, with this match taking place on Saturday 15th August, the winners are drawn home to Slough Town with the winners of that tie drawn away to Hemel Hempstead. In the F A Vase we have a bye in the 1st Qualifying round and have been drawn at home in the 2nd qualifying round to Stansted who again compete in the Essex Senior League with this match taking place on Saturday 19th September. The winners of this match are away to either Baldock Town Letchworth or Withenhoe Town or Potten United

TAFC Annual Golf Day (posted Wed 1st Jul 2009)
The TAFC Annual Golf Day will be held at Mentmore Golf & Country Club on Thursday 27th August 2009. 27 holes of golf on the Rothschild (9 holes) in the morning followed by lunch and 18 holes on the Rosebury course for the main competition in the afternoon. Prizes etc will be awarded at a 3 course dinner in the evening. Cost for the day is £65 with Mentmore Golf Members paying a reduced fee.

Pre Season Training starts 2nd July (posted Thu 18th Jun 2009)
Preparations for the new playing season commences with the first training session set for Thursday 2nd July starting at 7pm at The Grass Roots Stadium. Training will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings with any extra sessions to be advised by Phil Casserley.

Pre Season Fixtures (posted Mon 15th Jun 2009)
A busy pre-season starts with Watford at home on Sat 11th July followed by Pitstone & Ivinghoe Away on Sat 18th July; Chesham United at Home on Tuesday 21st July; Hadley Away on Sat 25th July; Hemel Hempstead Town at Home on Tuesday 28th July; Stony Stratford Away on Sat 1st August and then Hatfield Town at Home on Tuesday 4th August in the Herts Charity Shield. The league season will kick off on Saturday 8th August.

Reserves join the Suburban League (posted Thu 11th Jun 2009)
The Reserve team will be playing thier football next season in the Suburban Football League next season when we will see a number of new Clubs visiting the Grass Roots Stadium. Thesr will be a number of local derby matches including Boreham Wood, Chalfont St Peter, Chesham United, Hemel Hempstead Town, Leighton Town, Leverstock Green plus other senior clubs such as AFC Hayes and Hampton & Richmond. So if you are unable to travel to follow the First Team there will be some excellent matches in Tring for you to watch and give your support. And now it's bowls! (posted Sun 31st May 2009)
On Sunday May 31st, the annual bowls competition between the Pendley Clubs (Squash, Football and Rugby) was held at the Bowls Club. Tring Athletic were the winners, beating the Rugby Club by 3 points.
